In January 2026, Mr. Yuan Xin, President of SRS Germany, Ms. Martina, Managing Director, and Ms. Farzaneh, Country Manager, led a delegation on an on-site inspection to Türkiye. They held business cooperation discussions with Mithracert, a local certification body, and conducted on-site witness assessments and office audits of the company’s inspectors and certified clients.
Founded in 2021, Mithracert carries out certification activities in accordance with the principles of independence, impartiality, equality and confidentiality, and in compliance with applicable national and international legal standards. The body obtained its operating license from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in February 2022 and is an accredited certification body under ISO/IEC 17065 by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK).
With a strong focus on organic certification in Türkiye, Mithracert not only provides domestic organic certification services but also offers technical support to enterprises exporting to the European Union and the United States, securing a notable market share in Türkiye’s organic sector.
The SRS Germany team held a special meeting with senior executives of Mithracert at their office, marking the beginning of in-depth collaboration. Both parties presented their current cooperation framework, evaluated the results of 2025 cooperation, discussed priorities for 2026, and reached consensus on core business structure issues including further in-depth cooperation and the establishment of authorized branch offices.
An internal audit was subsequently conducted at the Mithracert office, verifying process standardization and document traceability one by one. Meanwhile, surprise inspections and witness audits were carried out on two professional inspectors to comprehensively assess on-site implementation, system operation and the fulfillment of critical control points.
Through this on-site exchange and witness assessment, the SRS team was deeply impressed by the Turkish team’s dedication and enthusiasm for the organic industry, as well as the strong aspiration and motivation of local enterprises to obtain international certification.
Going forward, SRS will strengthen collaboration with professional organic certification bodies in more countries.
