The general certification process can be divided into three parts: the time before on-site inspection + the time from inspection to certification decision + the time for enterprise rectification = the time to obtain the certificate. The time before on-site inspection mainly depends on the enterprise's preparation time for materials, which means this part of time is controlled by the enterprise itself. The time from on-site inspection to the issuance of the certification decision is 30 days: the enterprise rectification time also depends on the speed of the enterprise's rectification, which is also controlled by the enterprise itself. The entire process from applying for certification to obtaining the certificate can be completed in two to three months with the active cooperation of the enterprise.

If the USDA organic logo is used, it must be printed in one of the following two ways:

(1) Completely black and white or

(2) Green and white, with a brown outer ring

Two colors, green and brown, are specified, and no other colors are allowed. Both versions of the icons can be downloaded from the Organic Program (NOP) website. The logo of the certification body must not be displayed more prominently than the USDA logo.
